{another valentine's day post.. deal with it}

so it has been quite some time since i've done some baking because i've been trying to
cut back on sweets since the new year rolled around. and oh, how i miss it.
i figure valentine's day should be an exception.
although i'm afraid there may be many exceptions to follow
because the list of desserts that i'd like to try seems to keep growing..

{red velvet cupcakes}
this {red velvet cupcake} is the dessert i would most definitely go for if hubby was into
either cake or cream cheese.
alas, he is not.  so i'm thinking some kind of fancy cookie/brownie instead.
here are the contenders.

{chewy amaretto cookies with ganache filling}

{chocolate raspberry mini brownies}
 {cowgirl cookies}
{red velvet cake balls
i know, i know, i said joel doesn't like cake or cream cheese, however,
these aresomewhat similar to the gooey chocolate butter cookies i make & he loves those.
{oreo kisses}

ah, decisions, decisions!
perhaps i should just make joel pick cause i have no idea how to choose!!
are you making anything sweet for valentine's day?

  6. great post!!! I am so excited for valentine's day. I am going to make truffles and dip them in pink frosting then set them out so it reads "B-E M-I-N-E". like one letter on each truffle. I am so excited about it!
