isn't it a beautiful thing when God leads you to a passage
that you need to hear in that particular moment,
that brings you comfort, peace and hope.. that speaks to your very soul?

this is the passage that He gave me tonight.

Isaiah 40: 28-31

28 Do you not know?
   Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
   the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
   and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
   and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
   and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
   they will run and not grow weary,
   they will walk and not be faint.

right now, i am learning what it means to fully trust God, to fully believe
that he knows what's best for me and for Joel and to fully rest in that assurance.

I LOVE this passage - so beautiful. If we were going to have another boy this time around, we were planning to name him Isaiah because of these verses. How cool!

how fun- i was just thinking about this passage last saturday. i have been training for a 5k, and saturday was a reallllllly hard day for me. i felt like quitting and totally felt down on myself. so my hubby suggested thinking of some scripture that speaks the truth and of course, this came to my mind since we were running. we've got our 5k saturday and i am going to write this on my hand in case i get discouraged:)

I was just meditating last night on the truth that "the joy of the LORD is my strength." Praying that we will both be full of His hope and joy today!
