{chicken with tarragon and quick-roasted garlic}

so i finally went grocery shopping this week, which means
i'm finally back in the kitchen doing my thing.
i've been trying to incorporate at least one herb from our backyard
into every meal. they add so much flavor without costing me a penny, love it.
this is the first time i used our tarragon, which has
been growing like crazy.

i found the recipe via bon appetit, one of my favorite recipe resources
as of late (another : smitten kitchen).
i'll most definitely be coming back to this recipe, it's so quick but so flavorful,
especially with the roasted garlic (which only took 10 minutes on the stovetop!)
and you only use a splash of cream, so i would definitely count it as healthy.
it was simple enough for a weeknight meal yet elegant (and pretty!) enough to make for guests.

chicken with tarragon and quick-roasted garlic
dinner on the porch :)
i served it with lemon pepper pappardelle (from trader joe's - LOVE it!)
with olive oil, lemon juice & basil, as well as wild arugula salad with a lemon-
olive oil dressing. i made roasted broccoli for joel since he won't eat salad.
(if you haven't tried roasted broccoli, you must! it's the best way to eat broccoli, imo).

hope you all have a fantastic weekend! i will definitely be spending lots of time getting
started on my GroopDealz orders, but i also plan on spending time outside &
going on a date with hubby. oh yea, and of course with my family on father's day :)

This looks just deeeelish! Love how your're incorporating all those fresh herbs. Just did a garlic and fresh rosemary pork loin last night with herbs from my window box. SO tasty!

Happy weekend!

That pasta is seriously my favorite of all kind. It's so yummy and needs very little added to it. Unless you want to! This looks so delicious!
