{i ♥ homemade pizza}

so i think i'm going to start making homemade pizza dough on the weekend
& then making pizza twice throughout the week. beacause (1) it's quick & easy,
(2) there are so many possible variations, and (3) it's freaking pizza.

this is what i did last week. made the dough on saturday, following this
pioneer woman recipe, which makes enough for two pizzas
(for those of you who have never made dough, don't be intimidated.
it really is quite simple, not to mention cheap.) then we had pizza on tuesday & friday.
the pioneer woman had said that the dough's better after it's set for 3+ days,
and i found her to be correct.

one of my favorite toppings for pizza is prosciutto. however, as it is a little pricey,
i only get it every once in awhile. it pairs quite nicely with some fresh basil & olives
(as long as you like saltiness).

i brushed the dough with olive oil & sprinkled it with a bit of salt, added the toppings, starting with fresh mozzarella & crumbled feta, then baked the pizza at 500 degrees for about 13 minutes. just enough for the cheese to totally melt & the crust to turn a golden brown. i then added some fresh arugula on top for some extra crunch & freshness.

even though i just ate dinner, i'm getting hungry again looking at these photos. i'm excited to try a plethora of topping combos this summer.

what are your favorite pizza toppings?

We make homemade pizza at least once a week. We use Ragu for the sauce and thinly sliced kielbasa as pepperonis. You need to try this, especially the kielbasa.

My mom makes homemade pizza all the time. It's everyone favorite! I should really, really start doing it myself. She rolls her dough out on cornmeal, and that is extra super tasty! As far as toppings go, I have too many favorites, I think: pineapple + ham, eggplant, mushrooms, green peppers + onions, etc. I also enjoy a good white pizza. YUM!

I love homemade pizza! Yum! I make it gluten-free, with garlic, olives, red onions and heirloom tomatoes...and so many other ways too....'cause pizza is the best!

Hello!

Thanks for your house congrats! Lovely to hear from you!

I LOVE making homemade pizza too. Ever since I went gluten free, I've been using a GF crust by a company called Udi's that's thin and crunchy. I so wish I could make my own though since it's way cheaper. Yours looks like heaven! I've been topping our pizzas off with a balsamic reduction which is so easy and so yummy!

"It's freaking pizza"-- YES, this. ;) I could eat pizza everyday.

I think I will have to try to make the dough. We haven't made pizza dough in so long but it's way better than the canned stuff.

PS. Sometimes your blog won't load all the way for me and it makes me sad because I really wanna read and comment. Weird.
