I'm a bit perturbed...

that our dining room ceiling caved in!!!

apparently, today, while we were gone the drywall finally gave way, and a chunk about 5 or 6 feet long and 3 feet deep crumbled to the floor. this is according to Joel - i have yet to see the fallout. it all began with a crack that our lazy landlord neglected to repair. i can't help but be infuriated with him -- i just keep thinking about what could have happened if we were home at the time... if maggs had been walking over to his food bowl, if joel and i had been sitting at the table, enjoying a meal... we could have seriously been injured. it is truly a miracle that nothing at all was damaged. i had a box full of glass ornaments just next to the table!! apparently, there is another ceiling or something above the drywall, so we are not exposed to the elements (thank God)! I am just hoping that Rudy fixes it asap..

well that is all. i just had to vent about that -- i've been fuming since i heard the news. time to go home and check out the damage. perhaps i'll post a picture of it tomorrow.

thank God we won't have to pay for this!!!!!
