{some lovely finds}

when i went to visit my sister in grand rapids a couple weeks ago,
we visited some amazing antique shops in the area.
there were some really beautiful pieces of furniture, i was practically drooling.
and daydreaming of living in a place that would actually fit all of them.

we have a rather small living room in our duplex. when we first moved in,
we had a giant glass top coffee table from ikea that we'd bought used.
(you can see a pic here.) eventually i got sick of it taking up such a
large portion of our living space, so i got rid of it & we went without a table.

as for a side table, i used a stack of a few vintage suitcases,
which looked cool, but was definitely not a good place to set a glass of wine.
to my good fortune, i found a side table & coffee table that were both inexpensive
& small-ish. i also found a beautiful blue mason jar & an old milk bottle,
which are the most perfect vessels for fresh ranunculus, i must say :)
new antique find.
new antique find.
pretty pink ranunculus
have you found any note-worthy antique finds lately?

p.s. if you live in the detroit area, do you have any know of any
good antique shops in the area?!

Love the tables. It's amazing how much fresh flowers add to a gorgeous table.

A beautiful, fresh spring look, and quite whimsical too! I also see your sweetly knit (?) coasters :)

SO sweet! I especially love the side table. Due to space issues, I don't think we've ever had a coffee table ether. Some day!

Great finds! What stores did you visit in G.R.? My mom and I love to go 'junking' when I'm home for a visit. I'd love to know if there's a new place to add to our list!
