DIY :: paper capiz shell chandelier.

I realized I never shared this DIY with you guys. I'm pretty sure I made it at least a year ago (where does the time go?!). It's one of my favorite projects to date, not that I do a ton of them.. especially lately. I am sure i will get on another DIY kick once we have a new space to decorate, wherever that may be (eep!) I've kind of detached myself from our current space at this point.

The DIY I used is from Design Sponge via Freshly Picked. It is rather time-consuming but is great to do while catching up on your fave TV shows. Plus it is CHEAP (under $10), much cheaper than the real thing, and it will cover up that ugly light fixture you hate looking at but are stuck with as a renter. It drastically changes the mood of our bedroom. I found the wire planter basket at Goodwill for 50 cents (lucky for me, it was already white) and I used a Joann's 50% off coupon to buy the circle cutter. Other than that, I just add to buy wax paper, parchment paper, and two ceiling screw hooks.

I'm thinking I'll share some rooms from our home over the next few months, since I haven't shared any since shortly after we moved and it has changed considerably since then. I have really enjoyed living in our little circa-1900(ish) duplex and making it our own.

Soooo good! I've been meaning to make one of these for our bedroom. Now that I have some Downton Abbey to catch up on, it'll be the perfect little sit-down project:-) xoxo
