peony love.

peonies are hands-down my favorite flower. as you may have noticed in my last post, i wore one in my hair on my wedding day, and they were in my bouquet, on our cake and in flower arrangements. so naturally they create nostalgia for me. i get ridiculously giddy when i have my first peony sighting each spring. if you don't have them growing in your yard (which i fully intend on once we have our own place) fresh-cute peonies are not so easy to come across (at least among these parts). so you can imagine my delight when i spotted them in multiple shades of pink at our local whole foods market (which, by the way, i am now kind of obsessed with, considering i have just switched to a whole foods diet).

(wow, i use way too many parentheses. but it totally makes sense, because if you know me in real life, you know that when i talk, i often go off on tangents, or cause the person who i am talking to go off on tangents).

moving on. since i got my iPhone, i have become rather lazy with my photo taking, but i thought these flowers deserved some love from my DLSR (which by the way, i really still have little clue on how to use).

hope you enjoy :)

{wednesday wishlist :: the colors of spring}

i am beyond delighted to finally see the trees starting to bloom!
there are some gorgeous magnolia trees in full bloom in my neighborhood.
i'll definitely going to have to bring my camera on a stroll soon.
i am also delighted that our neighborhood farmer's market is opening this weekend!
can't wait to snatch up some fresh fruits & veggies, fresh pasta & fresh flowers :D

for this week's wednesday wishlist,
some pretty etsy finds in honor of greening grass & budding blooms ::

featured artist: MarciG

i stumbled upon MarciG's etsy shop yesterday thanks to jodi from touched creatively, and i was completely floored. marci is apparently only in her teen years, and she is a brilliant potter. i mean BRILLIANT. the colors, textures and shapes are simply stunning. she has an excellent eye. i swear i hearted at least half of the items in her shop! i would love to start my own personal collection of MarciG pottery :)

let me give you an idea of what i'm talking about:

Red Poppy tea bag holder:

White Lace Dove spoon rest:

Plum Poppy Bowl 12 oz size:

Soar tiny tray:

Red and White Poppy Serving Bowl (my personal favorite):

Blue Lace Bird spoon rest or trinket tray (my second favorite):

another + is her prices are very reasonable. once i have some moolah to spare, she will definitely be receiving my business. i think she has a very bright future ahead.
